How To Treat Acne?

How To Treat Acne?
There are now many drugs to treat acne.

The best treatment is different for everyone: it depends on the form and severity of acné7 (affected areas, types of buttons, duration of acne ...) but also the type of skin (or not irritable, more ...), or less fat sex (girls, acne can be punctuated by the rules) ...

The acne treatments are of two kinds:
- To apply to the skin: gel, cream, ointment ...
- To swallow tablets or capsules.

There are several families of drugs that act on one or more mechanisms of acne (see diagram):

    those that reduce sebum production,
    those who fight against inflammation,
those that reduce the thickening of the skin,
    those who lead the pores.

Note also that for girls, a special pill that inhibits the production of sebum can be used.
Acne back requires for its most commonly antibiotic treatment to swallow. In the most severe forms, there is a particularly strong treatment, but is very irritating and requires significant precautions, such as the use of contraception among the young girl.

Use good hygiene products!
It is recommended to clean the skin twice daily with a product suited to soft toilet. Prefers:

    - The toiletries sweet: surgras soap, bread or dermatological foaming gel without soap
    - Non-comedogenic moisturizers to reduce the drying effect of certain treatments
    - Make-up products "tested non-comedogenic"
    - Sunscreen for the summer or during outdoor activities.

Give up harsh soaps or cleaners, lotions containing alcohol that can irritate the skin, exfoliating products or masks.

To follow his treatment and be patient: the keys to success!
Do not stop your treatment without first talking to your doctor.

Trying to remove blackheads or burst the buttons may turn into obsession!
But beware, this does more harm than bien3, not to mention the increased risk of leaving cicatrices4.
Nothing beats a good skin cleansing carried out regularly by a physician, in addition to the treatment.

Beware of the sun, a false friend!
In general, acne and sun do not mix.
During the holidays or during outdoor activities, use a sunscreen with high index (≥ 30) and non-comedogenic (beware of tanning oils).
Your doctor may adjust your treatment in the summer, as some drugs do not mix with the sun (skin may turn red tomatoes altogether as a result of the sun). It also depends on your skin type
